Unmanned Aircraft Maintenance Technician

About the role

Redwire Corporation is looking for a skilled Unmanned Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join its Kyiv team. You will ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of UAVs by performing inspections, repairs, and continuous technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on UAVs, including disassembly, assembly, and inspection.
• Diagnose technical faults, replace defective mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, and repair composite airframe parts.
• Install firmware, software, and system updates; support pre‑flight and post‑flight inspections, diagnostics, and testing.
• Conduct post‑incident inspections and structural repairs after crashes or hard landings.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare‑parts inventory.
• Keep workshop tools and equipment in proper condition and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Technical education (vocational, college or Bachelor’s degree) in a relevant field.
• Previous experience with UAV maintenance, aviation, or electronics.
• Ability to travel for missions and work outside regular hours when needed.

Required skills

• UAV maintenance and troubleshooting
• Soldering, including surface‑mount devices (SMD)
• Electronics and electrical systems knowledge
• Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Basic radio‑communication systems
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical workshop equipment
• Composite airframe repair
• Firmware/software update installation
• MS Office proficiency
