System Administrator

About the role

GlobalBet is seeking a System Administrator to manage and monitor its server infrastructure, ensuring reliable performance for its virtual sports platform. The role involves handling both on‑premise and cloud environments and supporting escalated customer issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed servers, applications and databases.
• Handle escalated customer problems in collaboration with first‑level support.
• Perform regular maintenance, upgrades and performance optimisation of the server environment.
• Configure and maintain streaming environments, both server‑based and cloud‑based.
• Install and configure hardware, operating systems and applications across company work centres.
• Troubleshoot system and network problems and document solutions for support and customers.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum B1 level English (written and spoken).
• Flexibility to work outside core business hours for emergencies.

Required skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with Debian/Ubuntu Linux systems.
• Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Azure, SQL Server, SharePoint, Office 365).
• Network knowledge (firewall, VPN, TCP/IP, QoS, Sophos, Ubiquiti).
• Database administration (MySQL master/slave replication, backups).
• Web server configuration (Nginx, HAProxy, Apache).
• Virtualisation platforms (ProxMox, KVM/Libvirt, Oracle VirtualBox).
