Structural Engineer – Luxury Hospitality Projects

About the role

Utopia is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead the design and development of luxury boutique hospitality villas and hotels worldwide. The role involves translating architectural concepts into safe, code‑compliant structural solutions while preserving the brand’s high‑end aesthetic.

Key responsibilities

• Design structural systems for low‑rise luxury villas and boutique hotels, ensuring compliance with local building codes, seismic regulations and international standards.
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, MEP engineers and the FF&E procurement team to integrate structural solutions seamlessly.
• Perform structural analysis, load calculations and seismic design to optimise safety and performance.
• Produce detailed structural drawings, technical documentation and construction specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Review and approve deliverables from third‑party consultants, geotechnical engineers and surveyors.
• Stay updated on emerging structural technologies and seismic design trends relevant to high‑end hospitality construction.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• 6–10 years of structural design experience in a design consultancy or general contractor environment.
• Proven experience on low‑rise luxury or hospitality projects.
