Software Engineer – Data Platform

About the role

The DataOS team at AppsFlyer is building a high‑scale data platform that powers analytics and product capabilities across the company. You will work on a system that processes over 150 billion events per day and manages petabyte‑scale historical data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve large‑scale data pipelines from raw ingestion to production‑ready datasets.
• Develop and maintain Spark/Scala‑based data processing workflows for both batch and streaming use cases.
• Own data platform reliability, quality, and performance in production environments.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of development experience with a passion for excellence.
• Strong experience in JVM languages and hands‑on background with production systems.
• Ability to quickly grasp new languages, systems, and frameworks.
• Good communication skills in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Spark, Kafka, Scala, Java, SQL.
• Data lake technologies: S3, Parquet, Delta Lake, Iceberg, Hadoop, Hive.
• Cloud and compute: AWS, EMR/EMR Serverless, Athena, BigQuery, Databricks Delta Engine.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑based distributed systems.
