Senior Python Developer – Game Server Team

About the role

A game server team is looking for a strong Python Developer to join its team. You will work on a high-load gaming platform that processes gaming traffic and handles many API integrations with external operators. The focus is on developing and maintaining scalable backend services, improving system performance and reliability, and contributing to technical and architectural improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-load backend services
• Improve system performance, scalability and reliability
• Design fault-tolerant systems
• Take part in architectural decisions and technical discussions
• Optimize and evolve existing systems and tools
• Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices
• Collaborate with the team to define priorities and solutions
• Write clear technical documentation

Required profile

• 4+ years of commercial experience with Python
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Experience designing scalable backend systems
• Good written English (for documentation and communication)
• Native Ukrainian (spoken and written)

• Python (FastAPI, Flask, Celery)
• PostgreSQL, Cassandra, KeyDB
• Git, CI/CD (Jenkins)
• Docker, Kubernetes/Helm
• Plus: non-relational databases, high-load or distributed systems, monitoring and observability tools, third-party API integrations, AI tools for development
