Senior Product Designer

About the role

Ruby Labs is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own the UI/UX quality of a core D2C subscription product. You will be the final decision‑maker for every interface that ships, ensuring it meets a documented standard while working in an AI‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the UI/UX quality of the entire product and define the standards that ship.
• Supervise team members’ UI/UX work, set direction, review output and drive tasks to the defined quality.
• Design and deliver major visual features from brief through exploration, rationale, implementation and polish.
• Maintain and document the design system to keep visual and behavioural consistency across screens, devices and locales.
• Run an AI‑native design workflow, manage prompting assets and ensure production‑grade output.

Required profile

• Proven experience as the final quality owner for a product’s UI/UX, with sign‑off responsibility.
• Hands‑on production experience with AI design and code tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and advanced prompting.
• Strong portfolio of shipped consumer web products demonstrating depth of craft.
• Leadership qualities: high visual detail bar, continuous learning, ability to explain design decisions clearly, and effective remote communication.
• Experience building or maintaining design systems and guiding other developers’ UI/UX work.
