Senior Compliance Associate

About the role

The Senior Compliance Associate will support the Mission’s compliance, risk management, accountability, quality assurance and governance functions in Kyiv. Working under the Chief of Mission and the Head of Accountability and Quality Control, the role ensures adherence to IOM policies, donor requirements and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with IOM regulations, policies, delegated authorities and donor requirements.
• Identify, assess and track operational and compliance risks across programme and support units.
• Conduct operational reviews, SOP assessments and support the development of risk‑informed decision‑making tools.
• Coordinate stakeholder communication, ensure timely escalation and resolution of compliance issues.
• Maintain knowledge‑management systems, databases and trackers to support reporting and institutional learning.
• Design and deliver capacity‑building trainings on compliance and risk management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, Law, Development Studies) with at least four years of related experience, or a high school diploma with six years of experience.
• Proven experience in compliance, risk management, accountability or quality assurance functions.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.

• Advanced proficiency in SharePoint.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
