QA Team Lead – Media Apps Testing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced QA Team Lead to drive testing of media applications on Smart TVs and digital media players. The role involves hands‑on manual testing, coordinating a distributed QA team, and ensuring high‑quality deliverables for our home‑entertainment client.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of video/audio playback and other media functionalities on Smart TVs and media devices.
• Execute channel and application testing, compile results, and present findings to clients and partners.
• Lead daily planning and coordination meetings across multiple teams.
• Act as the primary communication bridge between the client and QA teams.
• Gather, analyze, and clarify requirements, translating gaps into clear testing activities.
• Distribute QA tasks, monitor progress, remove blockers, and ensure timely completion.
• Run automated test suites, analyze outcomes, and collaborate with automation engineers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing approaches, and team practices.

Required profile

• 4+ years of Quality Assurance experience, with strong hands‑on manual testing background.
• Proven experience leading or coordinating a QA team.
• Experience establishing or enhancing QA processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Upper‑Intermediate English (or higher) and ability to work with distributed/international teams.
• Ownership mindset, decision‑making ability, and drive to see tasks through completion.
