Protection Caseworker (Child Protection)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Protection Caseworker specialized in Child Protection to join its team in Dnipro. Reporting to the Protection Senior Officer, you will provide comprehensive case management to children at risk of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or violence, and support their families.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial and comprehensive assessments of child protection cases and prioritize them based on risk.
• Develop individualized case management plans and coordinate implementation of services.
• Provide basic counseling and psychosocial support to children and caregivers.
• Refer and accompany children to specialized services as needed.
• Monitor progress of each case, ensure timely delivery of agreed interventions, and conduct regular reviews.
• Visit children and families in their homes to assess recovery, follow‑up on referrals, and identify additional protection risks.
• Collaborate closely with other caseworkers, service providers, and IRC psychosocial staff to ensure coordinated support.

Required profile

• Experience in child protection case management within humanitarian or NGO settings.
• Ability to conduct risk‑based assessments and develop actionable case plans.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to work onsite in Dnipro and travel to field locations as required.
