Principal Electronics Design Engineer

About the role

Our client is an innovative health‑tech company creating next‑generation wearable technologies that enhance human capabilities and improve quality of life. As a Principal Electronics Design Engineer you will own the electronics domain for a key hardware product, influencing architecture, technical decisions and long‑term evolution.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the electronics architecture from EVT stage through market launch and future generations.
• Make critical trade‑off decisions on performance, power, size, cost, reliability and manufacturability.
• Lead the full hardware development cycle from requirements to mass‑production readiness.
• Verify, validate and troubleshoot hardware designs, driving issues to resolution.
• Assemble prototypes or manage prototype production with EMS partners.
• Conduct schematic, PCB and documentation design reviews.
• Create and improve manufacturing and test documentation.
• Design tools and solutions for QA, test and manufacturing teams.
• Support EMC/ESD testing and certification activities.
• Identify and manage technical risks in the electronics domain.
• Collaborate directly with the CPO and CTO on product architecture and roadmap.
• Participate in cross‑project peer reviews and mentor engineering teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering market‑ready electronic products end‑to‑end.
• Strong background in schematic and PCB design using Altium Designer.
• Experience with SPICE simulation and solid understanding of signal and power integrity.
• Expertise in high‑speed signal propagation, rigid‑flex/FPC designs and dense multilayer PCBs (up to 12 layers).
• Strong knowledge of analog electronics and SI/PI simulation/debugging.
• Scripting skills in Python and Matlab.
• Product‑oriented mindset comfortable with technical uncertainty.
• Proficiency in English (Upper‑Intermediate+) and Ukrainian (native).
