Office Cleaner – Mykolaiv

About the role

The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the IRC office in Mykolaiv, ensuring a safe, professional and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. The role includes daily cleaning, periodic deep cleaning, waste management and monitoring of cleaning supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Clean office premises daily – wet mop floors, dust and wipe surfaces.
• Disinfect high‑touch areas such as door handles, switches and shared equipment.
• Sanitize restrooms and replenish soap, paper towels and toilet paper.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness – clean sinks, countertops, appliances and remove waste.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks like glass, windows, furniture spot‑cleaning and storage areas.
• Keep cleaning equipment and storage areas orderly and ensure safe handling of chemicals.
• Monitor stock of cleaning and hygiene supplies and request replenishment.
• Report damages, maintenance issues, pests or safety hazards promptly.
• Support set‑up and clean‑up for meetings or office events when needed.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education (or equivalent).
• Fluency in Ukrainian; basic English is an advantage.
• At least 1 year of experience in office or commercial cleaning.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, time‑management and ability to work with minimal disruption.

Required skills

• Use of standard cleaning equipment (mop, disinfectants).
• Knowledge of safe use, dilution and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
• Physical capability to stand, bend, lift and carry up to 15 kg.
