Locomotive driver

About the role

Join one of the largest agribusiness companies as a locomotive driver, operating diesel locomotives safely and efficiently on our industrial rail network in Vinnytsia, Ukraine.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the locomotive in compliance with occupational safety, fire protection, and internal regulations.
• Perform maneuvering tasks on company sidings and transfer the locomotive to mainline tracks according to train crew commands.
• Inspect and maintain the technical condition of the locomotive, including brakes, safety devices, and mechanical components.
• Carry out acceptance and hand‑over procedures following established protocols.
• Monitor fuel consumption and usage of operational materials.
• Maintain technical documentation and work logs for the locomotive.
• Assist in preparing the locomotive for technical inspections and repairs.
• Provide substitute coverage during colleagues’ sick leave or scheduled vacations.

Required profile

• Secondary technical or higher specialized education.
• Valid license to operate diesel locomotives.
• At least 2 years of experience in railway operations, specifically as a locomotive driver.
• Familiarity with normative technical documentation and safety regulations for maneuvering locomotives.
• Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
