Lead of Operations - Beach Volleyball

About the role

Setka Cup is a professional sports league that organizes tournaments and manages the full event cycle, from scheduling and participant coordination to running matches and managing results. It is looking for a Lead of Operations for its beach volleyball direction, a key operational role responsible for how beach volleyball tournaments are organized and delivered. The person will own tournament operations from planning and preparation through tournament-day execution, player and team coordination, incident management and post-tournament analysis, and will also help build and scale the way operations work.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the operational management of beach volleyball tournaments across all venues.
• Develop and coordinate the tournament calendar and ensure tournaments follow competition rules, regulations and internal procedures.
• Coordinate all teams and functions involved in tournament operations.
• Manage player and team statuses, including roster changes, substitutions, withdrawals and disputes.
• Oversee all operational activities on tournament days and quickly resolve unexpected situations before, during and after tournaments.
• Work with the Integrity team on incident management and investigations.
• Ensure the accuracy of match schedules, rosters, results and other operational data, and review them before submission to Finance.
• Analyze tournaments, incidents and operational issues to find improvements and implement more efficient, reliable processes.
• Help build scalable processes as the beach volleyball direction grows.

Required profile

• Hands-on experience with beach volleyball tournaments, sports projects or event operations.
• Strong understanding of beach volleyball competitions, regulations and tournament processes.
• Ability to coordinate several teams and processes at once and to make confident decisions in fast-changing situations.
• Strong ownership, responsibility and attention to detail; experience in an international environment.
• Ability to work from the office.
• Intermediate English or higher.
• A strong advantage: experience with commercial beach volleyball tournaments and with building, improving or scaling operational processes.
