Junior Legal Counsel (Hybrid, Full-Time)

About the role

Nova Ukraine is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to support its humanitarian and charitable initiatives across Ukraine. The role combines legal analysis, contract management, and policy development to ensure projects comply with Ukrainian law and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including procurement, service agreements, charitable donations, and contractor agreements.
• Prepare amendments, addenda, and supporting legal documents.
• Compose official correspondence, legal responses, claims, and other documentation.
• Provide legal advice to internal teams and project managers on day‑to‑day matters.
• Produce legal opinions, memoranda, and analytical reports.
• Assist in updating internal policies, procedures, and governance documents.
• Monitor legislative changes, conduct legal research, and assess associated risks.
• Support senior lawyers in complex matters and participate in cross‑functional legal projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, or final‑year law student.
• Solid knowledge of Ukrainian civil and commercial law.
• Understanding of contract management and legal documentation processes.
• Ability to conduct legal research and prepare legal documents.
• Excellent written Ukrainian.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and high responsibility.
• Willingness to learn quickly and work collaboratively.
• High ethical standards.
