HR Coordinator – Mykolaiv

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to lead the HR and Administration team at its Mykolaiv area office. This senior‑level position will ensure compliance with NRC policies, Ukrainian labour law, and donor requirements while supporting programme implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Implement NRC HR systems and procedures at the area level and ensure adherence to policies, handbooks, and donor requirements.
• Manage the HR team, oversee onboarding, inductions, performance management, and exit processes for all staff.
• Maintain accurate HR records (online and hard copy), process staff benefits, leave, and health insurance.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, produce personnel reports, and support line managers with HR queries.
• Promote PSEA standards, handle disciplinary matters, conflict resolution, and participate in investigations as needed.
• Develop and maintain administrative systems, ensure proper filing of documents, and manage the area‑level admin team.

Required profile

• University degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years experience as an HR Coordinator in a humanitarian or recovery context and at least 2 years overall HR experience.
• Experience managing HR systems for 70+ staff and knowledge of Ukrainian labour law.
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian, both written and spoken.
