Gender-Based Violence Outreach Facilitator

About the role

Under the supervision of the Women’s Protection and Empowerment Officer, the Gender-Based Violence Outreach Facilitator will lead community‑based activities aimed at preventing gender‑based violence and empowering women in the Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions of Ukraine. The role focuses on delivering gender‑sensitive information and services to vulnerable groups, including internally displaced persons and survivors of GBV.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a women‑ and girl‑centered approach and adhere to GBV prevention and response principles.
• Prepare, facilitate and deliver awareness‑raising sessions on GBV for women, girls, survivors and healthcare workers.
• Disseminate information on available GBV services and maintain accurate qualitative and quantitative reporting.
• Develop gender‑sensitive awareness messages and informational materials for target audiences.
• Organise and implement outreach campaigns that engage IDPs and other vulnerable groups.
• Monitor and evaluate outreach impact by collecting participant feedback and analysing satisfaction levels.
• Collect, analyse and submit data on protection risks faced by women and girls in the community.

Required profile

• Ukrainian national with a strong commitment to gender‑based violence prevention.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations, including IDPs and GBV survivors.
• Ability to facilitate group sessions and communicate sensitive information clearly.
• Capacity to collect and report both qualitative and quantitative data.
