Finance & Administration Assistant – Swedish Red Cross Ukraine

About the role

The Finance & Administration Assistant will support the Swedish Red Cross office in Ukraine, working closely with the Finance Coordinator, Country Representative and program teams. The role ensures smooth financial management, administrative services and logistical support for SRC‑funded projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage petty cash transactions, perform monthly reconciliations and report to the Finance Coordinator.
• Process procurements, draft agreements with URCS and partners, and ensure compliance with IFRC and SRC regulations.
• Assist in internal and external audit preparation and provide coverage for finance staff during absences.
• Support administrative tasks such as ordering business cards, SIM cards, arranging travel, and organizing trainings or visits.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with IFRC, URCS and other partner National Societies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant finance and administration experience, preferably in an international NGO or humanitarian setting.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work independently.
• English proficiency at minimum B1 level; additional language (French, Spanish or Arabic) is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Strong computer literacy, especially the Microsoft Office suite.
