Driver – Logistics Support in Shostka, Ukraine

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Shostka is expanding its operational hub to support humanitarian and recovery activities in north‑east Ukraine. The Driver role is essential for safe, timely, and efficient transport of staff, visitors, documents and goods, while also providing logistical support to programme and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Transport NRC staff, visitors, documents and goods to approved destinations while ensuring safety and compliance with local traffic laws.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, trip documentation and ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled and technically sound.
• Provide logistical support during trainings, workshops and field missions, including loading and unloading humanitarian assistance.
• Report accidents, breakdowns or maintenance needs immediately and coordinate servicing with the line manager.
• Support movement planning and coordination with logistics colleagues and perform other duties as delegated.

Required profile

• Valid driving licence.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in humanitarian, recovery or emergency contexts.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing security and operational conditions.
• Basic knowledge of English and basic computer literacy.
