Driver (Kyiv) – Secure Transport in High‑Risk Environments

About the role

Control Risks is seeking a professional driver to operate from its Kyiv office, providing safe and secure transport for clients operating in hostile and high‑risk environments across Ukraine.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe and competent driving while adhering to Ukrainian road safety rules.
• Stay informed about current threats and key security issues in Ukraine.
• Conduct vehicle and dismounted immediate‑action drills.
• Maintain a low‑profile, client‑focused approach and follow Control Risks SOPs.
• Perform navigation using maps, compass and GPS, and operate vehicle‑mounted and handheld communication systems.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, equipment accountability, and complete required reports.
• Conduct venue and route reconnaissance and contribute to related reports.
• Assist in risk assessments and operational planning.

Required profile

• Current valid Category B driver’s licence (essential).
• Preferred Category C licence.
• Strong knowledge of Ukrainian road safety regulations.
• Ability to remain aware of evolving security threats.
• Commitment to high personal and professional standards.

Required skills

• Map reading and compass navigation.
• GPS usage for route planning.
• Operation of vehicle‑mounted and handheld communication systems.
• Vehicle maintenance and equipment husbandry.
• Report writing and basic administrative tasks.
