Clinical Project Manager – Oncology

About the role

The Clinical Project Manager will lead oncology clinical studies, working closely with cross‑functional teams to accelerate drug development and improve patient outcomes. This role is part of IQVIA Biotech’s core project team and is responsible for delivering studies on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in bid defense presentations and may lead presentations for smaller regional studies.
• Develop integrated study management plans with the core project team.
• Execute assigned portions of clinical studies, optimizing speed, quality, and cost while ensuring compliance with SOPs and contractual requirements.
• Set objectives for the core team, monitor performance, and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage risks, lead problem‑solving efforts, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Serve as primary or backup contact for the customer, maintaining strong relationships and coordinating with business development as needed.
• Build and lead cross‑functional teams, oversee vendor management, and ensure financial success of the project.
• Identify scope changes, manage change control, capture lessons learned, and apply best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in clinical project management, preferably in oncology.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, regulatory requirements, and SOPs.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance of projects.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on risk mitigation and quality assurance.

Required skills

• Familiarity with IQVIA’s suite of clinical solutions or similar clinical trial management systems.
• Experience in developing study management plans and risk mitigation strategies.
• Capability to lead vendor relationships and manage change control processes.
