CIAM Technical Lead – Ping Identity Platform

About the role

Our client, a global technology company, is building a modern Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platform that delivers secure, scalable authentication experiences for millions of users. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining enterprise‑grade identity services using Ping Identity solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, implementation, and configuration of the CIAM platform.
• Own the engineering roadmap for Ping Identity solutions and align it with business requirements.
• Design and optimise authentication journeys, SSO, MFA and password‑less flows.
• Configure and maintain identity policies, access controls and authorisation rules.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to CIAM engineers.
• Collaborate with architects, security teams and business stakeholders to define identity solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex authentication and authorisation issues.
• Review solution designs, configurations and code for security best practices.
• Drive automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code adoption where applicable.
• Support production incidents and continuous platform improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) or Cybersecurity engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Ping Identity products (PingOne, PingFederate, PingAccess, PingAM).
• Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC) and SAML.
• Experience designing MFA, password‑less authentication and customer identity journeys.
• Knowledge of policy configuration and access management.
• Experience integrating applications via REST APIs and JSON.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot authentication and federation issues.
• Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
