AI Platform Engineer

About the role

BetterMe is looking for an AI Platform Engineer to build autonomous AI agents that automate engineering tasks across the software development lifecycle. You will help scale AI automation, ensure quality and safety, and evolve the internal developer platform.

Key responsibilities

• Build local and autonomous AI agents that automate implementation, testing, code review, and CI/CD.
• Design quality and safety mechanisms, including tracing, evaluation suites, and guardrails.
• Scale AI automation platform capabilities through documentation, onboarding, and measurable adoption.
• Develop and maintain the Internal Developer Platform using tools such as Backstage or Port.
• Enable AI agents to interact with platform capabilities via structured metadata and documented interfaces.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps.
• 1+ year of hands‑on experience building AI agents for real‑world workflows.
• Strong ability to translate technical and non‑technical needs into practical automation solutions.
