Senior Full-Stack Ruby Engineer (Remote, Ukraine)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Ruby Engineer to design and grow a multi-tenant SaaS platform delivering real estate and asset‑management data at scale. The role involves full‑stack development across Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Hotwire, React and TypeScript, and shipping reliable software on AWS‑backed Kubernetes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement features in a Ruby on Rails 8 monolith using form objects, query objects, service objects, Pundit policies and ViewComponents.
• Build dynamic server‑rendered UI with Hotwire (Turbo + Stimulus) and Bootstrap 5, and richer interactive interfaces with React + TypeScript (MUI, ag‑grid, react‑select, chart.js) bundled through Vite.
• Model and tune data in PostgreSQL – craft efficient queries, design indexes, remove N+1s, and author zero‑downtime migrations.
• Deliver asynchronous and scheduled work with Sidekiq for data ingestion pipelines, file processing and long‑running jobs.
• Write thorough automated tests (RSpec request/system specs, Vitest) and ship code through a CI/CD pipeline that builds Docker images, pushes to AWS ECR and deploys to Kubernetes clusters.
• Collaborate on infrastructure managed via Terraform and Kubernetes manifests.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years building production applications with Ruby on Rails, including ActiveRecord and Sidekiq.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL – efficient queries, indexing and schema changes.
• Expertise in React and TypeScript, and willingness to work with server‑rendered Hotwire.
• Familiarity with authentication/authorization patterns (Auth0, OmniAuth, Warden, Pundit).
• Test‑first mindset with ability to write meaningful automated tests.
• Excellent written and spoken English (B2+).
