About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Protection Analysis Officer (Rule of Law) to join its Ukraine Country Office in Kyiv. The role will generate high‑quality protection analysis that guides program decisions, coordination and advocacy for conflict‑affected populations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead qualitative and mixed‑methods protection analysis, including thematic coding of interview and partner data.
- Develop and apply analytical frameworks aligned with the Protection Analytical Framework.
- Produce quarterly protection analysis reports, briefs and area‑based analytical outputs.
- Maintain and visualise protection monitoring data on a Power BI dashboard in partnership with the MEAL Senior Officer.
- Collaborate with the Protection Officer (Localisation) and other stakeholders to support joint analysis workshops and coordination structures.
- Ensure analysis informs program design, strategic planning and advocacy priorities.
Required profile
- Experience conducting protection or rule‑of‑law analysis in humanitarian settings.
- Proficiency in qualitative and mixed‑methods research, including thematic coding.
- Ability to work onsite in Kyiv for at least 70 % of the time.
- Strong written communication skills for producing clear analytical products.
