Security Coordinator / Security Manager

About the role

UK‑Med is seeking a Security Coordinator / Security Manager to lead the safety and risk‑management function for its programmes in Dnipro and surrounding regions. The role ensures the protection of staff, partners and beneficiaries while supporting humanitarian access.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with authorities, coordination mechanisms and other security stakeholders.
• Conduct security assessments of programme sites, routes and movements, and provide practical mitigation recommendations.
• Monitor the security environment, produce regular updates and briefings for operational decision‑making.
• Integrate security advice into programme planning, implementation and contingency planning.
• Support teams in obtaining permits, movement authorisations and other administrative requirements.
• Deliver security inductions, briefings and training for staff, visitors and consultants.
• Maintain the Country Security Plan, evacuation procedures, incident‑management SOPs and related documentation.
• Produce security reports, incident logs and analytical maps using GIS tools.

Required profile

• Valid and up‑to‑date military registration documents.
• Proven experience in security risk assessment and management within humanitarian or conflict‑affected settings.
• Ability to engage effectively with local authorities, NGOs and coordination bodies.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.
