Security Associate (Temporary, 364 days)

About the role

The Security Associate will support the Security Officer in ensuring the safety and security of UNICEF staff, their eligible family members and the organization’s premises, assets and resources in Dnipro, Ukraine. This is a temporary 364‑day appointment within UNICEF’s security team, reporting directly to the Security Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of security planning for the duty station.
• Provide safety and security services, including monitoring of incidents and coordination of response actions.
• Support security networking activities and liaison with local authorities and UN partners.
• Contribute to knowledge management and capacity‑building initiatives within the security unit.
• Deliver technical, operational and administrative assistance to the Security Officer, ensuring compliance with UN security policies, rules and procedures.

• Ability to follow instructions precisely and work under the supervision of the Security Officer.
• Commitment to strict compliance with UN security related policies, rules and procedures.
• Strong administrative and organizational capabilities.
